This client wanted a large custom entertainment center, with lots of shelves and drawers for storage. The entertainment center is 22' deep, 10" ft long, 6" ft tall, with 44'x9' 3/8' raised panel doors on each side. The TV cabinet clicks open and reveals 12 drawers all together. The shelves hold either 32 DVDs or 42 CD's. The bottom drawers are for album collections.
A wood and wrought-iron stairway was built into a new home. The client wanted an open living room staircase with full view of the balcony. The staircase was custom built with a bull nose step tread, and turned knurl post for the top handrail. Custom iron pickets were added, with an offset landing. The continuous handrail was set into a goose neck that formed a perfect ninety degree angle.
Wood works well everywhere within a home for creating a rich mood and livable lifestyle. We truly enjoy bringing our creativity and craftsmanship to interior wood work.
Complete restoration of a home built in 1887. The old log framing had to be removed. The floor joists and seals were removed. The house was seating on four huge boulders on each corner. The floor joists were dovetail cut into seals. A temporary girder system had to be built, with cross bracing to support the house until necessary repairs were made. The house was 30 ft x 18 ft, with two stories. The downstairs walls were approximately 9 ft high. New footers were dug, tamped, formed and poured. New floor joists and girders were installed. The room was reframed and a new beam system was installed with 2"x10" girders and cross-bracing. Knotty pine with trim was installed, with fir beams and poplar staircase, to complete the job.

"Working with Don from Precision Trim has been a great experience and has gone smoothly. His experience in working with carpentry and especially trim work has been a great value to us when remodeling our bath and kitchen. He was able to make great suggestions on how to improve the overall look, as well as being very knowledgeable and very professional. He was even willing to take on a new challenge in redoing my bath/shower tile and the outcome was fabulous! Don does such a great job; we're already talking to him about future projects. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to make home improvements." "It's exactly what I wanted. Don did a fabulous job and in a very timely manner. He was very professional and keeps his work area very clean. I was very pleased to have him do this job for me and would recommend him to anybody." "Don extended our roof line over a patio, which we had been wanting covered. We had custom cut rafters on the other side of the house. He matched them perfectly and extended the roof line approximately eighteen feet by twelve feet. We love the beautiful design and would recommend him for any job that has to do with wood. He is a very pleasant businessman. Don makes a special effort to please his clients." "I hired to Don to do my curved staircase. He came in with a full set of equipment and mobile shop and set up in my great room. In a week's time, he had bent the hand rail, set the skirt board risers to the step treads and nosing, after the hand rail had dried. Don bent the handrail onsite. I was impressed with the precision of his work and close eye for detail. He was always willing to answer any of the questions that I had and even set the four huge columns on the side of my house. He was very reasonable with his pricing and reliability. I was pleased to have him do my work." |
